Every space has a story: An introduction

Every space has a story: An introduction

I've been meaning to start this for a while. Not because I had something grand to announce, or because I figured out the perfect niche, or because I finally understood what a "content strategy" means. I started it because I kept having little moments: a morning light hitting the hillside just right, a dish that surprised me, a conversation that lingered... and I had nowhere to put them. So here we are.

My name is Carolina, though I've never quite warmed up to Carol, so Lina it is. I live in the countryside of São Paulo, Brazil, in that quiet in-between zone where the city fades and the green begins. My days are full of things I love and things I'm figuring out, often at the same time. I'm drawn to homes with character, to food that's made with care, to the kind of places where pets are as welcome as people, and to the long, unhurried process of building a life that feels like yours.

AND SO THIS BLOG WAS BORN

Lina Olivetree is my little corner of the internet for all of it: no single theme, no strict editorial calendar, no pressure to be an expert. Just honest writing about the things that fill my life: design ideas I'm obsessed with, restaurants I've fallen for, weekend discoveries, home projects, pet adventures, and whatever else is making me think or smile or feel something.

The name Olivetree comes from my surname, Oliveira, which translates directly to olive tree in English. It felt right to carry it here. And as a bonus, olive trees suit the spirit of this space perfectly: they are patient, they grow slowly, they weather hard seasons, they're never quite symmetrical, and yet there's something deeply beautiful about them. Unhurried, a little imperfect, and always reaching toward the light.

Unhurried Moments
Lived-in Character

If you're someone who loves beautiful spaces but lives in a real, lived-in home... if you care about where you eat your Sunday lunch... if you have strong opinions about what a good afternoon should feel like, I think you'll feel at home here.

Welcome. I'm so glad you found your way in. Pull up a chair, stay a while, and let's see where this goes together.

Every space has a story. Every meal has a memory. Every walk has a mood. This is where I gather mine.
